This invention of ours is actually an improvement. It is the Birchmeier comfort kit and it consists of three parts. You've got the two padded shoulder straps, which makes the backpack more comfortable on your shoulders so that the straps are not digging into your shoulders.

We've also have a material on the complete back side of the strap so they can't bunch up. Secondly and most importantly is this padded waist belt. What that does is it takes the weight of the backpack and instead of your shoulders doing most of the work, which transfers the weight to your back.

Now, because the backpack is securely fastened around your waist, the weight of the backpack is now on your waist, which means your legs are doing the work instead of your back.
