Power Spray Equipment - Weakest Link Always Fails
Posted by Andrew Greess on Aug 10, 2012
Power spray rigs for pest control & weed control use pressure to push water through a hose. When pressure is involved, the weakest link fails.
Client came in this week with a bad pump. He had ignored maintenance and was paying the price of a new pump. Once the new pump was installed and the system was operating at normal pressure, other things began to fail.
The photo shows how the power sprayer hose developed a serious bubbling problem once it was put under pressure.
A number of other leaks were also identified.
Client was unhappy about having to spend money on repairs. We reminded him of the importance of regular preventative maintenance, employee training and not ignoring problems.
