Do You Have a Terrible Technician Story? It Could be Worth Money!
Posted by Andrew Greess on Apr 11, 2017
I was telling a customer friend that one our mechanics had quit with no notice, leaving us at the busiest time of year.
Not to be outdone, my friend told me that he had to recently fire a technician who said he provided service to a municipal client. The client was suspicious because they didn't see the tech, so they checked their surveillance video. The tech had never been there. My friend checked his tech's vehcile GPS and confirmed the tech had never been there.
I shared this story (leaving out the names of course) with another customer. He told me he just had to fire a technician who had the customer write a $1200 check for service directly to the technician.
I have a feeling stories like these are just the tip of the iceberg.
DO YOU HAVE A TERRIBLE TECHNICIAN STORY?
A story of incompetence, impropriety, malfeasance, or sheer stupidity?
Announcing the Terrible Technician Tournament.
Submit your terrible tech story and you could win either a B&G Sprayer or a Birchmeier Backpack sprayer (winnner chooses).
This could be fun. I will share the best stories. Who knows, maybe we will even find a lesson or two we can learn from.
