Choosing the Right Pest Control Vehicle

If your fleet needs an upgrade, don’t jump at the first shiny new truck, van or car you see. 

Start with these tips.

Your pest control vehicle is a lifeline to your customers. It is one of the most critical tools in your business. It carries the technician, tools and products to the customer. It must do this safely and efficiently. Your vehicle is also a valuable marketing tool — a moving billboard that conveys your message to the community and a sales machine that generates leads without needing a coffee break.

When it comes to selecting a new truck that will serve as your pest control service vehicle, the old adage “measure twice, cut once” is apropos.

A couple of key points to keep in mind:

-  Don’t assume your pest control equipment will fit. Measure. Lay it out. If you will be bolting equipment to the bed or side rails, make sure there is access to install nuts on the bolts.

-  Just because it worked in your last truck, doesn’t mean it will work in the new one.
