Birchmeier Backpack Annual Maintenance Suggestions

Posted by Andrew Greess on May 18, 2016

Birchmeier Backpack Sprayers are top quality professional weed and pest control spray equipment. But even the best of the best require proper care and maintenance to ensure long-term usage. Cleaning of your backpack sprayer of course is top of the list in proper care. At Qspray, we further recommend that 4 parts be replaced annually. First we suggest the check valve, all of the o-rings on the system, rebuild the spray valve and adding new Birchmeier grease in the grease piston to ensure your system is well lubed. These are important parts. To prolong the life of your pest control or lawn care sprayer, we advocate this as best practice to our clients. All four replacement kits can be found at QSpray.com

Andrew Greess: Hi, this is Andrew Greess with Qspray.com. We're big fans of the Birchmeier Backpack Sprayer. We sell a lot of them. We service a lot of them. We get a lot of requests for information about how to best maintain the Birchmeier Backpack.

We recommend four different items for annual maintenance. If you're a heavy user, these are four items that you want to probably repair or replace every year. First of all, you want to keep your backpack clean. Once a year, tear it down, clean all the parts. What we'd recommend is change the check valve ‑‑ check valve goes right in here.

Replace all the O‑rings in the backpack. This is the O‑ring or gasket kit that replaces all the O‑rings in the backpack. Rebuild the spray valve. This is the spray wand. This is the kit to repair the spray wand. Then, you want to make sure to keep your backpack well lubricated. This is the Birchmeier grease that goes in the grease piston to keep your backpack well lubed.

These four items ‑‑ the check valve, the gasket repair set, the valve repair set, and the grease make a great one year service kit for you. Look for them at Qspray.com. Thank you so much for watching.
